LIMBO Privacy Policy

LIMBO Inc. (the "Company") complies with the Personal Information Protection Act, the Act on the Protection and Use of Location Information and other applicable laws of the Republic of Korea, and establishes and publishes this Privacy Policy to protect the personal data of its users. This Policy applies to the mobile application "LIMBO" (the "Service").

1. Personal Data Collected and How It Is Collected

Search and browsing records (new) Search queries as entered (raw query text), selected autocomplete suggestions, records of clicks on and views of search results, filter and sort settings, map operation records (zoom, pan, viewport), save/bookmark and share records, dwell time per screen
Location information Where the user consents, the device's location information (coordinates, time of positioning, accuracy)
Location history (new — optional consent only) Where the user gives the separate consent under Article 10-4 of the Terms of Service, the sequence of collected coordinates and the times of positioning (used for dwell time, circulation and reach analysis)
Automatically collected Device information (OS, device identifier), access logs, app usage records
Access and blocking records IP address, device identifier, request path, time and volume, reason for blocking

How it is collected: entered directly by the user during registration and use of the Service, or collected automatically with the user's device-permission consent. Search and browsing records are generated when the user performs the relevant action within the Service. Access and blocking records are generated automatically when an access request to the Service occurs.

2. Purposes of Collection and Use

  1. Member identification and account management, including registration and login
  2. Provision of exhibition and event information and personalized recommendations
  3. Provision of core Service functions such as visit records and posts
  4. Provision of social functions such as follows and messages between users
  5. Location-based recommendation of nearby exhibitions
  6. Prevention of fraudulent use, handling of reports and responses to customer enquiries
  7. Service improvement and statistical analysis
  8. Detection and blocking of data collection by Automated Means and of fraudulent use of the Service, and handling of related disputes
  9. Improving search quality, raising recommendation accuracy and developing new functions using search and browsing records (new)
  10. Where the user has given separate consent, analysis of dwell time, movement routes and reach based on location history, and the preparation and provision of statistics derived from it (new)

The Company retains access and blocking records in order to detect and block data collection by Automated Means and fraudulent use of the Service. Such records are used only for investigating fraudulent use and responding to legal disputes, and are destroyed without delay once the purpose is achieved or the retention period expires.
